Southern Roots Tavern & Eatery occupies a beautifully restored Ford Motor dealership from the late 1800s on McDonough's historic downtown square — complete with what's reported to be the oldest working elevator in Georgia. After 14 months of renovation, it reopened as Henry County's top live music destination. Two fully stocked bars, a full-service kitchen, an outdoor patio, and a large indoor stage host tribute bands and regional acts Thursday through Saturday. Winner of the Georgia Country Award for Country Dance Venue of the Year 2025.
