Why This Exists
We built Live Music Spots because Metro Atlanta and North Georgia have more live music happening than most people realize, but too much of it is scattered across venue calendars, social posts, flyers, and word of mouth.
The national apps (Bandsintown, Songkick, Spotify Events) are fine for stadium tours and major festivals. But they miss almost all of the local scene. The brewery acoustic set on a Thursday night. The bar cover band that plays every other Friday. The free summer amphitheater series that half the neighborhood doesn’t know exists. That is the music this site is for.
Live Music Spots is our answer to that problem: a hand-curated, locally maintained guide to live music venues and events across Metro Atlanta and North Georgia. We want fans to find something great to do tonight, this weekend, or next month without digging through six different apps and a pile of social posts.
We also built it for musicians. Finding a new venue to play, figuring out who to contact, and knowing what a stage is actually like before load-in should not require a chain of DMs and guesswork. Our For Musicians section is our attempt to make that information easier to find for the local circuit: booking notes, stage details, typical nights, and practical context in one place.

We cover Metro Atlanta and North Georgia, not the whole country. The goal is a practical local guide built from venue calendars, community knowledge, artist submissions, and sources we can verify, not a national database full of stale listings.
Built for fans AND musicians
Our For Musicians section has booking contacts, stage specs, and practical details that are hard to find in one place for the local circuit. Whether you\u2019re looking for your next Friday night or your next gig, this site was built with you in mind.
Every show, not just ticketed events
Free summer concert series, brewery acoustic nights, bar cover bands, open mics: the shows that slip through the cracks on Bandsintown and Songkick. If it’s live music in the area, we want it here.
Real venue pages, not just listings
Each venue has its own page with a full description, upcoming shows, past shows, genre info, musician notes, and a map. Not just a name and an address buried in a directory.
Built by Local Music People
Live Music Spots is independently built and operated. No corporate backing, no investors, no ad network. Ticket purchases through some links may support the site at no added cost to you. This is still built by people who care about the local music scene, building a better way to find and share what is happening around Metro Atlanta and North Georgia.
We look at this from both sides of the room: fans trying to decide where to go this weekend, artists trying to find the right stages, and venues trying to get the word out. This site is meant to turn scattered local knowledge into something the whole scene can use.
It’s completely free to use. Free to list events. Free to list your venue. If you’re a venue owner, a band manager, or a solo act, you can submit your shows or submit your venue and we’ll review it for the site. That is how the guide grows: one show, one venue, and one local recommendation at a time.
