Hendershot's on Prince Avenue is a dual-identity Athens institution: a daytime coffeehouse and community gathering spot that becomes an intimate live music room by night. The programming favors singer-songwriters, folk acts, jazz, and open mics, with occasional comedy nights rounding out the calendar. It occupies a converted former laundry on one of Athens's most eclectic stretches of Prince Avenue and has been a fixture of the local arts scene for years.
