About Downtown Gainesville Square
Downtown Gainesville's historic square is the civic heart of Hall County live music, hosting the City of Gainesville's First Friday Concert Series — free outdoor performances every first Friday of the month from May through September, 7–10pm. The series brings regional acts spanning R&B, country, rock, and variety to the open-air square. Lake Lanier Olympic Park's monthly Food Truck Fridays (June–August) also feature live music in a nearby outdoor setting, making downtown Gainesville one of the more active free-music destinations in North Georgia.
